Games2Gaze participated in Career Days 2009 by IEK AKMH, Athens, Greece. Georgios Chiotis, Art & Technical Director and Michael Takakis, Sales Director, presented the short history of the company in Greece and the greek game development reality as experienced by the company so far. A full 2 hours speech was sufficient to give an interesting perspective of game publishing abroad, too. Students were able to learn how the company started, what the problems were, the existing game portfolio and the company's plans for the future. Regarding the greek game development environment, something that attracted audience interest the most, the possibilities for someone to start with game development and a how-to guide was discussed. Game development is not only about programming or one-man-show anymore, so, the possibilities for small teams with creativity and willingness to succeed were given in detail and many students expressed their interest contacting Games2Gaze in the near future. In a separate event, students interested in working with the company will be able to get interviewed by company's representatives. |
